«He worked with enthusiasm among the young people, as an assistant to Azione Cattolica, up to following them in the storm of war as chaplain of the Alpini. And precisely in the heroic exercise of charity, the young priest from Vercelli gave his soul to God, leaving to the military chaplains of the whole world an example of how one loves and serves one's brothers in arms, and to the Alpini a model and a protector in Heaven. »
