Ordained a priest in 1903, in 1907 he entered the Congregation of the oratory of San Filippo Neri in the diocese of Vic. He is professor of asceticism and mysticism in the seminary and then bishop of Vic in 1927 and apostolic administrator of Ibiza. He celebrates the first diocesan synod, promotes priestly vocations, preaches spiritual exercises, founds Catholic schools, spreads the catechism of Christian doctrine. In July 1933 he decided to promote Catholic Action on the island of Ibiza: in 1935 the first diocesan assembly was held with the representatives of the parishes and the inauguration of the headquarters. He became bishop of Lerida in 1935 and continued his pastoral activity. He is arrested and killed in odium fidei.
He was beatified in Rome on October 13, 2013.
