BIOGRAPHICAL NOTES AND PROCEDURE OF THE CAUSE

Angelino Cuccuru

6 December 1920, Sindia (Nuoro) - 10 June 1942, Senakiewo (Ukraine)

He attends the elementary school of his country. His family is deeply Christian and he is part of the AC youth. Called to arms, he participates in war actions against France. In July 1941, he leaves for the Russian Front. On June 10, 1942, in the Plasky area near the Don River, he was shot in the head. He dies in the Rikowo Field Hospital, Ukraine. He is buried in the Senakiewo military cemetery, in a grave number 234.

On 8 June 1996, his body returned to Italy. We have 150 letters written during military service, between 1940 and 1942.
