RATIONALE FOR THE COURSE

“We are all called to be saints by living with love and offering our testimony in our daily work wherever we are” (GE 14).

Many Catholic Action associations, especially, but not only, Spanish-speaking ones, have asked to delve deeper into the theme of sanctity; therefore, the primary objective of the training proposal which involves lay people of all ages and conditions of life and priests present, underlining the pedagogical value of the witnesses who accompany us, precede us in our personal and community life, and valorising the presence and variety of witnesses of holiness in our lives. and community life, enhancing the presence and variety of witnesses of holiness in different historical, geographical and social contexts.

“The saints who have already come into the presence of God maintain bonds of love and communion with us” (GS 4).

In this context, we are also asked to understand how to promote the opening of a cause for the beatification and canonization of witnesses, lay people and priests, CAs and other ecclesial subjects.

The Course intends to present the Foundation's service in the local Church, among the people of God, also animated by the Exhortation Gaudete et Exultate: “I like to see holiness in the patient people of God: in the parents who educate their children with so much love, in the men and women who work to bring home bread, in the sick, in the elderly religious who never stop smiling. In this constancy of moving forward day after day I see the holiness of the Church militant. It is often the sanctity of "next door", of those who live near us and are a reflection of the presence of God." (CR 7)
