PRAYERLord, source of all goodness, we thank you for having given us your servant Raffaele Gentile as a brother in the faith who, as a layman, with a heart and intelligence of love, lived his life in the world, putting himself at your service in the Church, in the family, in politics and, particularly, as a doctor, close to the suffering. Grant that, like him, in love with the Eucharist and most devoted to Mary, we too may live our Christian vocation with lively faith, industrious charity and certain hope, seeing Yourself in the face of every poor person. Give us, O Lord, the goodness of his smile and the meekness of his work, so that we too, with the light of your Holy Spirit, are always ready and available to listen, console, cure and heal all sorts of illnesses of the body and spirit with the style of the evangelical beatitudes. While we ask you to glorify him on this earth too, we ask you, through his intercession, to grant us the grace ... that we so much desire. For Christ our Lord. Amen.
