From the letter to Pope Paul VI

«Your Holiness, I took the liberty of writing to you, because I wish to confide in you that I have offered myself as a victim to the Lord for the unity of the Church. Through Vatican Radio, I have been following the great 'pro Unione' week for several years. I will tell you, all the schisms and ruptures that have occurred over the centuries interest me and follow them closely. On the night of January 4 or 5, 1964, when she met Patriarch Athenagoras, I was close to her with my offering to the Lord.
