«Let's not say that today it is more difficult;
it's different. Let's learn rather
by the saints who have gone before us
and they faced the difficulties
characteristic of their era".
The 130 years since the birth and 60 years since the death of the "elder sister" Armida Barelli (1882-1952) who, with father Enrico Mauri, can be considered the co-founder of the Female Youth of Catholic Action, offer a singular opportunity to relaunch the memory of these two figures so important for Italian religious and civil history.
Through the valuable contributions collected in this volume, the reader is accompanied to discover the intertwining of the lives and choices of two authentic witnesses of holiness, builders of an apostolic project that was able to involve millions of young people throughout Italy, in the "short century ” just concluded.
With contributions from De Micheli, Diliberto, Falciola, Miano, Monticone, Pilloni, Trionfini.
