In AC In the cultural climate of his time he was committed to ensuring that Catholics were present in civil society also through new forms of association: on 29 June 1867 the "Society of Italian Catholic Youth" was born, the first nucleus of what would become Catholic Action. He also participates in the foundation of the Opera dei Congressi and the Catholic Union for social studies.

Lord Jesus, we thank you for having given us your Servant Giuseppe Toniolo, an exemplary husband and father, a wise educator of young people from the university chair. He dedicated his life entirely to your Kingdom, bearing witness to the Gospel as a source of salvation for culture and society. Let his example lead us to love you as he loved you. May his intercession support us and help us in our needs. Give the Church, which he loved and served so much, to be able to honor him next to you, on your altars, a witness of lay holiness to the glory of the Holy Trinity. Amen
