PRAYER

Almighty God, in your holy providence, you called the worthy Anton Durcovici to be minister of your altar and you gave him the grace to guide many seminarians to the priesthood with prudence and with the example of a holy life, and as bishops of Iasi to strengthen the flock in the difficult years of persecution, through the firmness of his faith. You chose him to be a shepherd who lays down his life for his sheep. We ask you, through the intercession of the Mother of God, the Virgin Mary, to whom he consecrated the entire diocese, that the holiness and steadfastness of his martyrdom always shine before us in the Church, so that he may soon be beatified, for the honor of the whole Church and for the blessing of the Romanian people. For Christ our Lord. Amen
